Today, our state faces a critical crossroad. The development of clean and sustainable energy has never been more important than now. Fortunately, New Jersey is uniquely situated to develop offshore wind energy, which will provide the clean and renewable power we need today and in the future, while also creating thousands of jobs and billions of dollars in economic activity.

New Jersey is moving full force ahead. The state has approved the second largest development of offshore wind projects in the country, with 3,758 megawatts of capacity being built through Ørsted and Atlantic Shores’ projects. And that’s not all. New Jersey projects to develop 11,000 megawatts of clean offshore wind energy by 2040.
