Texas residents rely on the reliability and cost savings that advanced energy resources provide, and the state benefits from the economic development that these programs generate. It’s crucial for Congressional leaders to preserve the energy tax credits, ensuring Texas’ continued innovation, investment, and prosperity.
Maintaining energy tax credits is vital for Texas’ economic growth, job creation, grid reliability, and affordable electricity. These incentives have driven significant investment, innovation, and manufacturing, while meeting increasing energy demands and empowering homeowners. Eliminating them would hinder investment, raise electricity costs, and jeopardize grid stability.
Since 2022, these credits have generated $17.17 billion in investments, 26,500 jobs, and 616 new facilities. Over the next decade, they are projected to generate $458 billion in private-sector investments and $54 billion in manufacturing investments. Repealing the credits would significantly decrease Texas’ GDP and result in substantial job losses. Preserving these tax credits is crucial for Texas’ continued prosperity and reliability of energy resources.
